Hey guys, what do you do when you have stingy stains on your paint...

I scrub my car EVERY saturday inside and out for a good 60-90 minutes but in some places (namely the side skirts) there will be little (or big) scuff marks that i cannot get off unless i use my nail.

Does anyone know of a product to use that wont hurt the paint and doesnt take 180 ft/lb torque to be effective!

Thanks

(also is anyone noticing thin scratches around the lower hood and upper trunk?, I am always garaged and dont go off-roading here in Orlando, and the underside and front bumper are fine!!!)

Thanks again!

Peace!

clay bar should do what you want. just make sure you use a clean part/piece and have plenty of water/soap mix or detailing spray for lubrication.

get a cleaner wax...meguirs makes one...its step 1 in their 3 step system. The cleaner wax takes out all the oxidations and tar, bugs, etc... you apply it just like a wax....let it sit a few minutes, then buff it out. I also use auto goo gone, which works for some things that the cleaner doesnt get, yet the cleaner gets out things goo gone cannot. Clay bar is another way to go, yet its primarily used for scratch and overspray removal. i suggest using an applicator pad instead of a terry towell. its washable and reusable, but i find it get thing out better than the uneven surface area of a towell.

It really depends on what kind of scuff marks they are. If they were caused by your shoes when you get in and out of your car, the cleaner wax will work fine. If it's tar or something similar, a good tar remover would be cool.
