Cleaning and detailing

Hey Forum,

My girlfriend just bought a 2014 Mazda 3 yesterday and I have a couple questions about cleaning, detailing the car.

First, there is a little blob of what I think was sunblock on the outside of the B-pillar and it doesnt seem to be coming out (with soap or quick detailer) any suggestions on what is good to clean these with?

Also, what should we be doing to preserve the paint? I mean besides waxing and regular washes. Also, sub question about this. Is NuFinish worth using as an alternative to traditional carnuba wax?

Is it a black-colored area on the B pillar? I have noticed that it is easy to scratch. You might want to try the "Back to black" stuff. I've used it on faded black trim and it ends up looking much better.

As far as the paint, I save myself lots of time by:

a) using a car cover while at work

b) using 3D waterless car wash, which also protects the paint. My car always looks like it was just freshly waxed and it takes me only 15 minutes to do the whole car.

Before my neighbor told me about this stuff, I used ReJex after washing. I no longer need to use it and rarely wash any of my cars.

Not sure about the b pillar.

As far as protecting the paint, I like paint protectors like Black Fire. Only need to apply every 6 months or so and the water just rolls off.

My only pet peeve is the back bumper after a rain collects water and dries so it gets spots.
