Civickilla03's 03 DX

the first is out of the car, and the next two are inside.

i got lucky with a neutral color interior, and let me say this to whoever said they were going to try it, i would suggest you get light weight fabric, like no corduroy*, thick ass cotton, or heavy like winow drape material, because it will end up not sticking to the ADHESIVE AND DROOP, i had to do it twice cuz i chose corduroy fabric, and had to use some strong ass adhesive, i plan on doing the cloth on the door panels and the two center pieces on each seat, and the pillars in some other crazy blue material

end rant

That looks good. Plaid patterns are kinda weak that I have found. I wish I could just find like a blue/cream/black plaid but I have not found anything... Which is why I am about to settle for a black micro suede instead.

just make sure you get some 3m headliner adhesive, or 3m spray adhesive, it NEEDS to be a rating above 70! i used a rating of 90 on my headliner and its loose a little in some areas, i guess cuz im not a pro yet

Ya, I'll get 90 probably.

If I had money like that, I would honestly get it.

Wow, I've never seen that b4... Thats sick... The overall contour lines of that Miata look a little like a porsche from that angle, lol. Until you look at the rear end and such... Although the wide body fenders probly have a lot to do with that. (shrug)

blue bat mobile is the site i think

Or lamin-x

hey when u did your headliner how much fabric did u need??? like dimension wise?? it was one solid piece right?

na i actually had to sew two strips together for mine, some fabrics come in wider strips than others, mine were 36" wide each, if u measure and just make sure u overcompensate, it'll be easier than not having enough fabric. and idk if u know but, you half to take ur headliner out the trunk

Ya, I think like 56" or something like that will be plenty wide enough, which is how a lot of fabrics come.

I just bought 4 yds of a blue/light blue/white plaid flannel fabric on Sunday... It was on sale for Father's Day or something, 50% off, and it's the best plaid combo I've found, so I pulled the trigger. I'm hoping 4 yds will be enough for headliner, door inserts, shifter cover & arm rest... Maybe the pillars too, but I'm thinking about doing a different fabric or finish with those.

im redoing mine soon and i measured the width and length of the p5 and 56 will be good for width and i beleive the length was 74"..somewhere in the 70's

the new one is gonna be ******* sick, fabric is super expensive though, itll cost me over 40 bucks just for the headliner fabric :(

What kind of fabric? If I didn't find a plaid I liked, I was gonna go with micro suede which is like 10.99 a yard, most places I saw...

I got 4 yards of that plaid fabric for $14 :D
