Yup, thats the one I have too. Having a 1.3 MP camera onboard is cool. My last phone was a Motorola V600, so going from a VGA camera to this is great! And the MP3 feature is great too! Only part that sucks is that the S710a can only take Memory Stick Duo cards, which are limited to 128 MBs. Its not all that bad though, as the phone has an internal memory of 32 MBs. I just wish I could find a decent case for this thing!

looks like ill be heading more toward the 6230 than the v551 then...anything better than my current t720, which crashes all the times, shuts off during calls, and has jacked up ringtones...however, if my bro can convince my mom to switch over to nextel, then i may have to pass...unless i can somehow get the phone to work with the nextel network (highly doubtful)

if anyone needs phone cheap, im in hong kong... Im in the phone central universe here. Theyre also not locked so if you travel you can use it anywhere with local sim cards...

Oh yeah, the V3 is teh sexx....

camera is good on it too.

great phone

I've had mine for about a week now and its great. Just cant figure out how to get recored video off camera on to pc in a readable file ext.

I'd rather have the K750i... or a W800i

but damn that 900mhz... which I guess doesn't matter much if your provider is strictly 1900MHz or heavily into it anyways.

I think it comes with the 512mb Memory stick... and in MP3 only mode (for airplanes and other places you dont need the phone part of it) it can run for like 8 hours or something.

and yes it does have an AM/FM radio

it currently only comes in 900-1800-1900mhz trim though... but is not a problem for Verison or T-mobile users... but I think Cingular has to improve their 1900MHz network for them to release this phone in the US. unless SE makes a W800a model

im waiting for the CDAM RZR on Verizon. thats all we have for providers here anyways

in retail there are practically no markups in cell phone prices. what you see is what you pay, its about the same as wholesale, and its usually less than the cost to build one of the small contraptions. thats why they sign you up with contracts. they know theyre gonna get your money for at least a year (2 years with cingular) and they occasionally throw a rebate at your face. best way is to go on ebay, find an unlocked phone if you have GSM, or call your carrier and hope they can transfer the ESN. ebay phones are a gray market area, so be careful who you buy it from.
