i dont think anyone has discussed it yet but i would sure be willing to join. I am in ann arbor though.

I think the whole idea of modding cars to a lot of people is to have a fast car and be competitive which sometimes contradicts christian values, so you dont see too many.

I am catholic and like to tune cars ... so i guess i break the mold a bit.

Also, a lot of people end up placing too much money/ time attention in their cars so it can be seen as a vain, materialistic hobby as well. This sometimes contradicts some core morals.

thanks for your imput.. i'd be happy if there was such a thing and you were in it with me..ya my husband and i were just talking about it being a materialistic thing.. and it is.. really..
but God didn't say we couldn't have nice things.. or i just haven't found that in the bible yet..:)
.. well, we could aways ask the guys incharge to make up a thread for those intreasted in a christian thread... you don't have to be in dallas to be in the thread.. :( allthough i would be nice if we could all get together ya know.

hey in luck,, i PMed one of the moderaters and he gave me two names to go talk to be getting this thing started. !!!

i traded my 98 jeep cherokee classic 4x4 in on two P5's i sure do miss that jeep:(

unfortunately christians ideas and moral character are being pushed as much out of the mainstream as possible. It is unfortuante but that is the way evil works. We just have to stay strong to our convictions and share the good things in life ie our MAZDAS!

I am in way over my head when it comes to cars and my protege in particular. I spend WAY too much time and money on my "hobby" m ore like "addiction" and it sometimes bothers me.

Basically i doubt we will get our own thread section but we can still discuss our own issues.

You will come to see that people really dont like to talk about religion on here and there are many people who think religion has no place on a car forum. They are partially true but this is also a forum for its owners to commune and socialize with one another.

Anyways i dunno.

i here ya... i do.. if this thing isn't going to happen then we can all just talk in this thread til the shut it down, then i guess we'll just talk through Iming through yahoo messanger or aol instant messanger.. something like that... i agree.. with you but there is nothing wrong with us wanting to play with our cars as long as we are good stewards of what we have been given..

i was given two name's of the admin... for this forum Antoine and Enry.. from two of the moderaters .. they said to ask them.. so i sent them both a message about what we'd like to see..

Why not start your own club? I'm sure that others in your area would want to join a club like that, but you never know unless you put an ad in your local "penny saver" and find out (you know, "local christan car club meets _______ every friday night" or something like that).

There was a Christian club at NOPI in Atlanta. They had a Mazda6 in it. I can't remember the name of it though.

Did a google search for you. You should try it sometime as almost anything has already been covered before in the how many billions of years of mankinds history? (DO NOT TAKE THIS AS A FLAME, I AM TIRED OF POSTING JOKES AND IT GETTING TURNED AROUND)

http://www.holyrollerz.org/

Theres more random ones, just google it...

thats a great idea... thanks... with my husband being a web programmer i am sure we can start up our own forum's!! what do you all think? it would never take away from this forum, it would just give those of us who are christian a place to be able to relate and talk on common ground.

thank you for your help... i didn't take it as a flame... i took it that you helped me out.. :) and thanks again.. i know about google, just didn't think about looking up the car club in there...lol. i mostly use it for children sick questions medicines.. stuff like that.. looking up lryics.... etc...

there is a club here in Lexington like that but they just started it and its a nice size already.

there also used to be a group of "mainly" show cars that was Texas-based; it was called GroupOne. (they used to be GroupOne.org) the founder of GroupOne left because the group had gone national and "left its Christian values." I know the group that was GroupOne in KC is now "Imprimus" here. I don't know much more about them but I bet you could get some good info from that founder person... wish you well on this endeavor.
