Chicago Meet!

We have done a few in Chicago, but the lack of parking hurts it. We'll see what happens when winter is over. Typically we do something in the northern burbs throughout the year, I'll be setting something up at my place to do a spring detail. Last year the detail meet was rainy until noon and I joked that I would be charging to have the cars washed and I think people thought I was serious. So nobody showed up. Let me know if you guys are on facebook as well.

If I am not working I will be there. Plan it and they will come.....
Santos is right about the parking. its hard to stay in a group and hard to re-group once you get separated (which WILL happen). Meeting places are hard to plan as well due to inconsistent police policy with regard to the various public lots. Night time (Late) is best from what I have seen. With all that said, I always have a good time. Usually take a trip down Lower Wacker, and that is really all it takes to make my night. Hell, I may go for a ride down there tonight. Seems like a good day, and its been months.

Gurnee - Wacker - TBK - Gurnee Cruise 3/4/11 Midnight-TBD
Anna's back! Enough talking about a cruise, let do one. Sounds good weather be damned. Who's in;
For anyone who is looking to take a drive and doesn't mind staying up late, we are planning a cruise for this friday (weather be damned....sort of). We will leave Gurnee area around 1130ish, stop to pick some folks up at the Lake Forrest Oasis (if needed) around midnight. Head to the city via Lower Wacker and end up in a few spots to take some photos. Once done with that we will head to Taco Burrito King on Jefferson (damn good!). After that we will head back up to Lake County via Sheridan Rd if weather is good, if not we will take the highway.

Not to bust up the route, but isn't part of Upper and Lower Wacker under construction? I thought you guys might want to know now before you guys decide to head to Lower Wacker only to be disappointed. I'd so join you guys, but I have a friend bday dinner that night.

******BRING TWO WAY RADIOS IF YOU CAN! MAKES THINGS A LOT EASIER! IF YOU HAVE EXTRAS, BRING THEM IF YOU ARE WILLING TO LEND THEM OUT TEMPORARLY.
For those that don't know TBK (Taco Burrito King) is awesome. Their burritos are epic (especially the super king which is HUGE). They are open 24hrs and will be a good break in the action. If the weather cooperates we will be out most of the night, so stay as long as you wish. I am working on a pre-meet location (I have a place in mind, just waiting on word back from a few people. The drive to the city is likely to be.....spirited, you were warned. Radar detectors and two way radios are a plus but not required. At the end of the night we will take our tradition return route to Lake County (weather permitting) and that can be a lot of fun too. We will find at least one spot where we can line all the cars up for a photo op at some point in the night. Everyone just needs to be mindful of the fact that this many modded cars together can draw a lot of attention from the fuzz (especially in the city).
Looking forward to a good time, and meeting a few new folks. Bring your friends if they are interested. See you all tomorrow eve.

Sounds good will meet at the McDonalds in the Gurnee Mills parking lot around 1115 with plans to leave by 1130 or so. At that point we will head to the oasis and then to the city. We will leave the oasis a little past midnight. Update this thread nor call someone in the group if your are running late and need us to wait a few min at any point. I will be sure to check this thread throughout the day and before we leave Gurnee and Lake Forest Oasis. Looking forward to a good turn out, meeting some new folks and seeing some folks I haven't seen in a while. See you all there.
