Checking performance gains of BOV, CAI, and MBC or EBC

Checking to see if anyone can list typical performance gains of a blow off valve, cold air intake, or a boost controller or any combinations of these pieces of equipment. Ran my stock SPEED at the track this weekend and slips put me at 15.4 - 16 on the 1/4 mile. Hoping to get into low 14s with no major mods beyond the above equipment. Would appreciate any suggestions.(first)

dont quote me but i dont think that a BOV is gonna give you anything more than a whoosh.

I dont think you will get anything much from the bov, cai ive heard 5hp and... torque not much gain(not to sure.. they have been dynoing different days-temps etc) boost controller will only give you a gain compared to how much you boost.
If your safe, fcd-colder plugs- gauges to monitor... plus the only ppl that were getting mid to low 14's had fmi and allot of tuning knowledge.

But if you do get yours into mid low 14's... let me know.. hhaa id love to be there with only a couple hundred in the parts you were talkin bout.

bovs are for ricers.

if you read any of the 1/4 mile time threads
most have a mods list, and you can judge what the car is capable of with mods.

hey, now be nice.... Im far from a ricer but i love my BOV.

And i know that my FMIC kit is worth a good 15hp at the wheels.
 
Boost controller? I assume you can achieve fast times with a boost controller...you want to be more spacific? Like what PSI?

Well now that everything is in line, I like it. Im still tweaking the BOV and lookin to use a secondary vacuum source to prevent stalling. I definently love the kit. I really notice a power difference up high. I can get to 120 way faster than before. My boost climbs way faster(in fact i have trouble reacting to shift into 2nd gear sometimes)

As far as the stalling........I got a new tank of gas and i think it may have been the issue cuz i havent had a problem again.
 
BOV won't give you more power, but it gives you increased throttle response & to me, that's just as good.
 
Commong now...last time I checked my BOV made me run a 9 sec 1/4 mile and trap at 132mph.

My guess if your running 9 psi you'll probally be hitting mid to low 14s...

Hmm Joe only had a crush bend 3'' exhuast his MBC (of course) and more boost when hit 14.0 so I don't think the FMIC would do much in the 1320 since you have to wait so long inbetween runs. (monkey2)
He was running the stock Airbox/filter.

I'm pretty sure he also had the FPR, FCD and race fuel as well.(shocked)

Yes my bad forgot about the FPR and the FCD :)
But I really don't think you need race fuel to get into the low 14-high 13 sec range. Maybe a new car after a few runs (laugh) but no race fuel
 
I think the 116 octane was to be able to bump the boost WAY up to 18 PSI or something crazy.
He had his mods and times in his sig.

EDIT: here's his sig,

11 psi, 3" exhaust, Joe P. FPR kit, stock air box- 14.2@100
18 psi- 263.5 whp, 244 ft-lbs

If your looking for the power gain forget the BOV and get a new exhust. Getting rid of the two cat converters on the stock system will give you way more power then all you listed

Very true.
I have the Injen CAI installed, the Joe P MBC, FPR, FCD are waiting to go in with new colder plugs, and i'm on the wait list for the Corksport exhaust.
It should be pretty quick when i get it all installed. (nana)
The other thing to get for the 1/4 would be harder motor mounts to help with the wheel hop.
 
Id rather get better rims and tires then get motor mounts to help with the wheel hop. I have had bad experiences with motor mounts like ALOT of vibration.

Um $60 for a couple of mounts and $$$$$ for tires/wheels? where's your logic on this one....lol j/k
 
get drag radials...bump ur psi up and throw a dp in there and yall be runnin mid14s easy....guy on here hit high 13s with fmic, 9 psi and drag radials...:)
