To follow up on the image-building success of the Mazdaspeed Protege and the MP3, Mazda is planning to apply its performance tuning expertise to their latest highly-capable midsize 6 sedan. The MPS concept shown at an European auto show featured a 280 hp turbocharged engine, unique body kit and four-wheel-drive system, among other goodies.

Mazdaspeed 6 was delayed to 2007, as per mazda corporate. Feel free to email them.

We'll see the mazdaspeed rx8 before the Mazda3 and Mazda6 speed's are released...so at minimum, were looking at a 2006 release. (And they also have to release first in Japan, so that puts it right smack dab into 2007, or 2 years from now)

What's pictured is the MPS 6, not the Mazdaspeed. If you do a search, you'll find threads noting the difference.
