ALLCON:
Look at this. Im a n00b when it comes to turbo cars, and its called a "wastegate actuator". Looks suspiciously like a bypass valve.

Thoughts? Or is this something that goes on the turbo and actually controls the wastegate.

Wastegate actuator IS NOT same thing as bypass valve. Different location different action Former bleeds off exhaust gas from the turbo into the exhaust to reduce boost, latter bleeds off boosted compressed air coming out of the intercooler back into the uncompressed intake.
