Hello everyone,
So I'm thinking of putting 20" rims on my 2017 GT and going down to 45 size tyre. This was the overall wheel diameter stays the same as 19" with a 55 size tyre and doesn't affect my speedo.
Looking at the owners manual, in section 4-136 I see the following:

Heed the following cautions so that the Lane-keep Assist System (LAS) & Lane Departure
Warning System (LDWS) can operate normally.
 Do not modify the suspensions.
 Always use wheels of the specifi ed type and size for the front and rear wheels. Consult
an Authorized Mazda Dealer for tire replacement.

I assume this would be the case only if the overall diameter of the wheel were to change. But since I'm going one size up in wheels and 2 sizes down in Tyre and maintaining the original wheel height, am I correct in assuming that my Lane Assist functions would still work correctly??

Thank you!

Lane Assist will continue to work.
It is based on camera and steering control.
Nothing to do with tires/wheels/suspension.

Changing the tires can effect the input signals to the BCM regarding

YAW RATE SIGNAL
LATERAL-G SIGNAL
BRAKE PRESSURE SIGNAL
ABS, DSC, TSC OPERATION
CONDITION SIGNAL

All listed on the 5th page here. That is why Mazda will not underwrite the behaviour if the tyres are changed.

Has anyone noticed that it works better on one side than the other? Mine will do a much better job keeping me in the lane over the right side than the left. On the right it will try to keep me in the lane BEFORE the departure warning. On the left it happens almost simultaneously.
