Keep in mind Stou ran his kit at 8psi for 1 year with NO trouble!
That's true that I didn't have any major problem. But keep in mind that a custom kit is not like a kit from the manufacturer with the ECU programmed for it, a LSD, heavy duty clutch, etc.
I know that there's some small problem with the MSP but you'll got some with a custom kit too. If you go for a big turbo kit with a LSD heavy duty clutch some piggy back system like the Link a boost controler etc..., in the end it will cost you more than a MSP.
In Canadian money, my MP3 cost $25k brand new. After the turbo kit, the clutch, some gauges, some steel braided hose, synthetic oil, etc...., I made the count and it costed me $32k. After a winter with the turbo MP3, I found out that I realy need a LSD...$2000 (cdn) for a Quaifee!!! Still need some piggy back system to override the advance timing of the MP3, another 1 or 2k.
That's when I decide to buy a WRX instead of put more $ in the MP3.
I paid $34k for my WRX and the MSP is around $27k here......
As you know I still have my MP3 for the wife. It is now stock and I still enjoy to take it for a fun ride. This car as a better handling than my WRX even with the Eibach coils, the 18" wheels and STi strut bars. I don't like it better than my WRX but on the handling side, the MP3 is a little bit better. It like a go kart!
Here's my opinion about that, buy a MSP (or a WRX

) or keep your NA MP3.
..... but that's my opinion!
