I've got play and noise coming from both of my rear hub assemblys, one has been making noise for a bit and the other just started. This is my second vehicle for grocery getting and fishing etc.
I want to do the labor myself, as I have a friend with a press that I can get the bearing pressed out/in.
I've pulled the wheel and brake drum off to have a look. Under the shoes and brake hardware I see there are 4 allen type hex bolts holding what looks to be a hub assembly to the rear housing. Am I correct in thinking I can remove the brakes and remove these bolts to drop out the entire bub assembly? If not can one of you with experience on this give me any additional steps or the proper way to tackle this job?
I did search around but I wasn't able to find just what I was looking for. If I've overlooked something, I apologize and would appreciate a link just as well.
Thank you in advance.
Cheers,
Kevin
