the only way carbon fiber enhances your car is by looks... unless you get the hood from dgm w/ the naca duct. but at the same carbon fiber is the coolest material ever concieved my mankind. go for it, carbon fiber on black looks bad-ass.

i've seen some nice black cars with carbon hoods. the gray part of the weave is a very nice contrasting color of the rest of the black car. it VERY subtle but very nice, imo.

You will not notice ne difference in handling. One thing to be worried about is ne type of dirt, or grime from roads, animals, or cars. Make sure if u do get one to WAX it with a wax that is good with clearcoat and wax it atleast once every 2 to 3 weeks to keep it in good condition. Also if u are parked out side alot get a car cover. the most damage done to a CF hood is the sun.

cf hoods are light weight hoods, compare to stock hood, cf is light.... its for weight reduction not just looks....
Well I know about the dg hood with the scoop and that is badass but 1200 for a hood is a little much. Plus I doubt the "air intake package" the sell with it will fit a mazdaspeed.
I want to get the Wings West Evo hood that is going to look sweet on a black Mazdaspeed.
Why bother?? In my opinion Carbon Fiber looks better on a black car. I think it looks stupid to have a white or blue or for that matter orange car with a black cf hood. Unless you have a paint scheme that takes advantage of the balck hood. But that is me.
