Center Jack Points for Mazda2?

I searched but didn't find anything for the 2. Does anyone know where the front and rear center jack points are for the 2? I know where the emergency Jack points are on the side, but I need to get her up on jackstands and need the central jack point.

Looking under the back of the car, there's a black plate that doesn't look strong enough to be a jack point, and then the torsion bar, and then the fuel tank. None of those seem right. The black plate seems the most likely, but it just doesn't look super-sturdy.

Thanks in advance!

I had problems with this too.

I jacked up the rear of the car on the tow hook (with a floor jack - I WOULD NOT USE THE SCISSOR JACK ON THIS) in order to get the back on jack stands. (just be super careful - DO NOT crawl under the car while jacked from this point.) It worked, but I am sure there has to be a better place to jack from.

For the front, i jacked it up on the large bolt where the subframe meets the car and placed the jackstands on the pinch welds. Again, (with a floor jack) not sure if this is the actual recommended location or not, but it worked.

oh yah, i've got a good aluminum racing jack, for all this. this isn't my first time at the rodeo ;)

that sounds about where the front jack placement is on the 3 as well, so i'd buy that. i thought about jacking on the tow hook as well for the back, but it's not really designed for vertical compression stress, so i I know people on here have installed springs, so someone has to know how to get that ass up on jackstands...

I've installed springs and a rear sway bar.

The tow hook was able to take the weight for mine. Ive put it on stands twice. I got the idea from when i had a 09 Civic SI. The tow hook was the recommended jacking point on that car when placing on jack stands.

interesting. ok cool, well i'll try that then ;)

factory service manual isn't out for this thing yet, huh?

I have manual at work and will look this up in a bit. Gotta do some work first.

Yeah, surprised me too. I found this pic and saved it from a different thread on here. I've jacked the car up at least 5x using both these jacking points and had no issues. It's actually easier for me because whenever I tried to jack one side the whole car would scoot over as I jacked it higher and higher... So weird, never had that problem with any other car! I attributed it to the torsion beam setup but I'm not really sure if that's the cause.
