CEL Question.

I installed my Wagner shorty header a couple of weeks ago and after 500+ km my car threw a cel. Probably insuficient EGR flow, which seems to be a common thing with this header. The thing is, the cel went away after 100km or so. The car seems to run fine, but I did notice a drop in my mpg. That could be from my driving though. Should I reset the ECU again?

That would be a good place to start. You also might want to do a search for the spark plug defouler fix and put that for your O2 sensor, as I assume that would be the cause for the CEL coming on. If the light comes back on, take it somewhere and find out which code is being thrown, and most likely its the 02 code (can't remember exactly which number it is). As for the drop in MPG, it could be a few things. Your driving, ECU may be acting up from the header, or something completely different. Hope this helps.

P0421 Bank one below threshold. that is the o2 code i used a fowler to get rid of.

I shouldn't need to use the nonfouler fix. The Wagner header keeps both cats.
Reading the Wagner header group buy thread, insufficient EGR flow is a common problem. I just don't know what to do now that my CEl went away by itself. I'll reset my ECU and see what happens I guess.

You may have to clean the EGR valve then. There is a how-to on the boards to do that.
