Ok boys and girls, I went to Autozone and pulled a P0106 and P0300 from my CEL. For the P0106 I've read that the EGR valve should be cleasned or that I might have an air intake leak. For the P0300 I've seen all sorts of things and I'm not really sure where to start. I'm about to replace the coil packs and wires.

I cleaned the EGR valve tonight and didn't see any change. Any other suggestions?

I've done a very thorough investigation and this is what I've found. I cleaned the EGR and replaced the MAF sensor with no change. I replaced the intake hose, coil packs and wires and checked every vacuum line in the engine bay for leaks, holes and cracks, no change. I knew it was some king of vacuum leak because I could hear it. I finally took a spay bottle to the injectors and found they were not seated right. I still can't get them to seat either. I recently had the head rebuilt and I think they may have planed the head to where they will not seal now. At first it was three of the four but after some work it's now just the furthest to the passenger side. Anyone ever heard of this happening?

Wow, crazy! Are you sure the green and purple ones are in the right positions? Not sure what difference it makes but might be somethin to check out. I'm fairly certain it matters somehow.

I would RTV the plastic adapters on the injectors (where they plug into the head) and see it that fixs it.

OP, can you post a pic of your injectors/fuel rail? They should go, green, green, purple, purple (from left to right/passenger to driver side)

I know your pain my friend. I recently pulled 5 codes!
I also had similar seating issues after head work, but I think it had more to do with the 626 intake mani and 626 fuel rail and the 440s I am running.
We were eventually able to get some different O-rings and it seated better, but not perfectly.
Well, I'm no help ....

It's always helpful to see your clean white ride................even tho there were 2 on the lot with my silver one back in 04 to choose from, I swear I never see white ones on the road around here.

Now that you mention it, I can't remember ever seeing a white p5 around here...
