Had a recent problem with check engine light. The code given was p0171, "bank one running lean". The car had a loping idle and hesitated every time i got on the throttle. I couldn't figure out the problem and neither could any mechanics so i drove it for a few months with the CEL on.
Recently it got pretty warm out here so I turned on the AC, about five minutes later the CEL went off. I noticed the idle got better and the hesitation is gone. Car runs fine, but the light turns back on if the AC is shut off. Any ideas on what might be goin on?
