Cat back exhaust differences?

As I shop for Cat-Back exhaust systems, I see some manufacturers listing different part #'s for the different year MZ3's, and others that simply list 2004-2009. Were there changes through the years? I have a 2007 2.3L HB, and am leaning toward the Magnaflow.

Part numbers are important to pay attention to since there are several different alterations made from the 06' frame (2 part numbers) compared to the 07' frame (6 part numbers)... thats why when it says 04-06', dont assume that it'll work on the 07' because it wont without making adjustments yourself. P/N 16786 is for the 2.0 and 2.3 sedan model. P/N 16821 is for the HB speed body.

The last hanger placement on the 06' is a certain degree off from the location of the rear hanger of the 07' and will not mount properly. The length of the first piece going to the cat is 2" more on the 06', so it sticks out on the 07' because of placement and angle adjustment made to fit. People with an '07 have the Borla on their car but without penalty of possibly voiding out the exhaust warranty by making alterations to it by adjusting the hangers, drilling holes, or cutting the pipes.

Borla does not make an exhaust for the 07' yet but they are looking to. In the meantime, Magnaflow is the next runner up for similar performance and sound quality. Go to www.therpmstore.com and they sell it cheaper than the company and $100 cheaper than amazon and other sites, real awesome and they have no S&H charges and most local car shops install for about $100 if you don't know how to do it yourself. Either way you'd pay less than $550 installed... goodluck.
