No way man...you can go back in time with the Deloren. **** BMW...that's the ultimate driving experience right there.

you can't blame the DeLorean... it was birthed in the 80's for Pete's sake. it didn't stand a chance in the power dept.

Delorean.
A guy named John Delorean made them in the 80's, then he got busted for coke.

so the car is the delorean 'delorean'? was that the only car he made?

never even knew......

Delorean was responsible for lots of the really awesome designs that came outta Detroit back in the day. As in the GTO for Pontiac. And the company is the DMC, that cool logo thats on the front of the car. And the panels were just finished, the car never came with any paint. They are pretty neat, if I do say so.

just think boys and girls, you too can have your own car brand if you are in a major coke ring.

one of the kids in my class had a Delorean in his family.....his father would drop him off at school driving it! it is a different car but not bad for the time they were out? i am sure his father still owns it.....

Delorean + modded LS2 = death on wheels. think about ~550+ HP in that all-steel ****** right there... you can **** some s*** up with that. It would be like that Aston Martin in Die Another Day - indestructible, but pretty damn quick.

Edit: Kaint Spiel

the old story is that john delorean was setup/entrapment by the feds as part of that trial

Yep. They were jealous that he built a machine that could travel through time before the USAF could.

one time, i was going to connies pizza in aurora, IL. im get out of the car and im walking through the parking lot and i see a delorean. im like, "awesome you dont see them too often." then my mother-in-law points across the lot and goes, "then what are all of those?" they were having some sort of delorean meet because there were about 40-50 deloreans sccattered throughout the lot. it was crazy. all of them were completey original except one guy had a body kit and flare spoiler molded to his and painted bright yellow. when i saw their group, it was the weirdest collection of guys assembled for a meet i have ever seen. there were guys who looked younger than me, and there were guys who looked as if they were going to die right there.

I heard the panels were stainless steel..That must be one heavy ass mofugga.

I saw a dude get an iced coffee at a dunkin donuts drive through in a Delorean. He used to live in my town. Actually I used to live in his town, i moved.... I digress...

He had to tilt the coffee all sideways to get it in that tiny ass window.

back on topic:

There's actually two cars in that pic that fit the original purpose of the thread! The DMC and the Audi TT. Nice cars, don't get me wrong, but from everything I've heard, not nearly as nice to drive as they look!

True dat. The chairman of the company I used to work for let me drive his TT a couple of times. Don't get me wrong, it's not a pile of crap or anything, but it's not nearly as great as VW... oops I mean Audi would have you think.

My friend's stock TurboII was fastAr. The navi system was alright, tho... (shrug)
