cars acting doggish...

i was doing a few fun fun pulls and luckily i had it in fuel pressure mode. it hit about 1300-1400 once from a 2nd to 3rd gear pull during WOT in 3rd. i said to myself....****. lol.

i did about 3 or 4 more pulls, 1 time it did it again from 1st to 2nd. but then didnt do it anymore on the last 2 pulls. now during the last 2 pulls i did a launch to 4th gear and it didnt show a fuel pressure below 1700 but, it felt like someone was blocking my intake. no, nothings blocking my intake.

im need to change my intake filter but cant seem to figure out why its acting....wierd. im going to go get some gas so ill do a couple data logs to see how its all running and ill post them tonight for eveyrone to see. i think shes running alright otherwise though. hmm....this sucks, i have a FMIC on the way too.

def dont want to buy fp internals. i took a chance with some CDI's, oiled them up real nice. they dont show any other signs of going though...i know people have had experiences with these going....a lot of people, how did they fail? signs?

maybe not with the data logging....bad thunderstorms coming through and its now night during the day. local tornado warnings also. sweet. maybe ill go swimming.

gave it a go anyway because im bored out of my mind.

little slippery out but heres one of 4 logs. this is the only one to show a fp loss at all.

it was really hot earlier and muggy as all hell. now that its raining it went form 87 to 71. the temp helped a lot with the power but it still has a hesitation. maybe that was a better word for it. hesitation after WOT gear shift. when the car spikes and settles at the target boost level is when i feel the power loss. if you see where it dips to 1399 its just after a shift when the boost begins to hold its 18 psi.

fuel psi doesnt look to bad..seems to be holding pretty well..doesnt drop down enough to cause fuel cut in my amatuer opinion...with what your running..your cdfp internals should be enough without upgrading the tank fuel pump. Maybe just take it easy till you get your fmic on your car and then get a custom tune..that will prabaly make all the difference in the world.

when I ran cdi internals, they didnt just fail all together, they slowly started dropping pressure. After a while they were in the 300's at idle and then randomly my car would cut under wot, pressure would hold sometimes just fine then others like s***. if your pressure is at 1300 to 1400 under wot, your internals arent working like they should.

i changed some setting in the atr. turned the exit delays down to half their values and messed with some throttle positions in the a c and e categories. smoothed out the WOT runs and my fp is great now. when i get the fmic on and runt he same changes to the stage 2 fmic setup ill let you know how that works out for me.
