went to dealer yesterday, had my fogs installed, had them swap out HB, LB and fog bulbs too w/ my aftermarket ones i bought, all happy and jolly and s***...(ughdance) , flying to work, feelin good, VERYYYY windy out though, gusts of 40mph... get to work, open door and just as i open door, a monstrous gust blows in direction of door opening and smacks door open very hard, snapping that bad hinge(which i thought were bad first time i opened door)!(glare)
when door flung open i looked to see if it bent front fender, it did not but on front edge of door it chipped very little and a very tiny ripple is now there, about 1/8".(pissed)
after i touched it up with paint i just bought just to have, u cannot see it unless u are me..., or u know it's there. i have to get the hinge fixed now, will this be covered? looks like to repair the door panel must come off. i'm just gonna say i heard a clicking noise and then i noticed door opening to much, not gonna mention wind. those hinges (blowjob)

You have plastic door hinges?
i dont think its the hinges themself its a kinda stick that stop the hinge from going 2 far and its really thin

listen to peter5. jmhumr u have a cx and u don't know what i'm talking about...? open your door and look and u will see black plastic s*** hinge to prevent door from opening too much.

I had this same problem on my CX-7 the first day I owned it... really big gust of wind snapped the driver door open too far.

Now it swings open really easily, kind of annoying and makes it feel cheap.

pix of what...? broken black plastic hinge...1 that keeps door from opening to far, not main metal hinge...
- dropping at dealer tomorrow morning, they said it's covered no problem.

I didn't realize that black bar was plastic. I always assumed it was the source of the door creaking sound.

it is. i just got back from dealer, they covered it but was saying how it could have only had happened if someone really ripped door open, or strong wind, which it was. i told him i had no idea and that i didn't even drive it on fri(windy day it happened). ok i lied...he said we took care of it "this time". regardless how it happened, it should be taken care of, it's cheap plastic s*** when it should be metal.
they also upgraded my gas cap to prevent engine light from going on, supposedely the gas cap on the CX doesn't seal properly...
