Ive been looking into a cf hood but im just no sure how its gonna look on sunlight silver, how did it look on yours? And if its gonna fade and crack it just seems like a waste?

That all depends on what brand you go with because there are brands available that do not do this

just the sides looks nice too. that's what I was going to do too but decided to supress the ricer inside and just go all out w/ the paint.

is the reduced weight really worth painting the whole hood?

no, not at all. getting an oem-style CF hood and painting the whole thing would only give you the bling factor of opening the hood and showing people the CF underside.. but I don't even know if most CF hoods are 100% CF, I know my fiber images is.

I definitely wouldn't have painted the whole thing if it was oem-style.. but then again I would never have bought a CF hood if it was OEM style

Yeah it looks hella nice but.. it's so subtle for so much money, and with no performance gain in speed or handling? yeah a big money pit

thanks, its the vis evo hood. when i first got it everyone said that they fade quickly due to the clear-coat. i had my buddy go over it twice so now there is 3 on it. i love the way it looks and fits. no complaints here(headbang)
