Car For Sale

I don't even think 14,500 is too much. It's a great looking car. People are lowballing you on these forums because people here know about the clunk, hesitation, and any other little quirks about the car ... like bending rods and things of that nature. Laser blue is an amazing color, and if two of my best friends from back home didn't just pick up laser blue proteges (one MSP, one MP3) I would love to purchase your car.

13,500 is a steal of a deal. Wish this was going on back in November, would have jumped on it. I love my MP3 but it would be nice to have a little speed.

This is just the problem with the used car market for the one who is selling. That's why buying a brand new car is the STUPIDIST investment you can make. Car values start dropping fast these days and don't stop dropping badly. If it isn't a Honda or Toyota, etc, the cars are next to worthless if it's anywhere near 10 years old. Even those cars aren't really going for much because they cost so much more when new. I got my 96 Protege, with bad paint and 125,000 miles, for $900. Everything works on it like the A/C, all power windows, came with CD stereo, no crashes, clean CarFax report. Being stick shift made it harder for him to sell here in Miami. Ofcourse, this car has not one single mod to it so don't think I'm comparing it to yours. Your car and mine are worlds apart. I'm just using mine as an example. You will find a buyer but you will have to wait long and hard. Advertise everywhere. Join every forum and post it there. There's a few "Yahoo Groups" to join. What I mean is that your mods are awesome to all of us but they are only neat extras to the buyer that he isn't going to shell out loads more for--only some extra $$ for. I really hope that you don't have to go too low.

Well i wont say, cuz he just backed out. I would have never thought that it would be so hard to sell this car.

besides mazda enthusiast, most people dont even know what it is. The just think you're charging 14k+ for a protege that you put a bunch of cosmetic parts on. Thanks Mazda for the fantastic MSP marketing

I know exactly how you feel, I'm still trying to sell my girlfriend's car and shes back out in Cali, so its a bit more difficult. I wish that someone would just take it off of our hands and make our lives easier. Best of luck to ya, it seems we both need it.

Well since my wife lost her job the only thing practical is my 91 escort, and the cash i get from the protege. I hope it sells soon. Its still early in the summer i guess
