they were following the pace car for a restart you can see it at the very beginning of the clip. cars turn back and forth to keep the tire temps up to get them to the optimal temperature to grip the best. that rain looks horrible but that's the difficulty of racing and also shows where a driver's experience and talent really shine.

Crazy thing is I thought the 911 exploded because the gas tank's in the front, but the other car (Ferrari??? couldn't tell) just errupted, like it was in a movie. Freakin' wild!!!!

Racin' in the rain ain't bad, but in the fog is insane. They shouldn't postponed that race. Rain is nothin' as long as you can see...but if you can't see you're just askin' for people to get hurt. There's no sport in that.

I think it was another accident. At around the 25 second mark of the vid, towards the left of the screen, you can see what looks to be another car catch fire.
