damn you 3 guys are harsh. put down anything that isnt completely glowing about the mazda3.

i suppose the srt4 kill stories are coming soon...

So Car and Driver sucks because it wasn't glowing about the MZ3?

It rated the 1st MP3, P5 and LX in multi comparos.

Yes, I'm harsh. No, it's not because somebody is putting down the 3. I've never liked C&D. They've always been off in all of their track times. Their drivers suck big monkey balls :P

On that note, the SRT4 is fast but I don't like it. It's ugly IMO. Good bang for the buck, that's for sure. No, I'm not trashing Dodge; I like Dodge.

Oh, and to me the 3 isn't a sports car. Far from it actually. I bought this car as my daily driver. I have a motorcycle to play with :P

No, C&D sucks because they can't drive.

My run down -
Car and Driver = Soccer mom pandering; too many minivans
Motor Trend = Actually thinks America produces high quality autos
Automobile = Snobby and overblown; seems to pander to BMW WAY too much
R&T = Not that bad but I can't remember the last time I read one though

I can't wait for sc to do a bit on it. I usually believe them more than others. i looked at the new mz3 on the show room and told the sales guy, who's a friend of mine, you know it kinda looks like a PT Cruiser with a Matrix rear. He subsequently hit my arm. He did agree with me as did the guys standing around that we like the rear of the mp5 more.

Instead of replying the same thing as Dre, I'll just say that I agree with him. It's a free world. You like CD go ahead. I just stated my opinion that CD sucks. And not because of the 3. Because it sucks in general. Chill....it's not because I hate a magazine that it automatically means that the mz3 is the best car in the world :wtf:

First let me say that I love the 3 and I will most likely be getting one come spring.

Now I have to say that I agree with C&D on one point. The Mazda3 feels slower than my 200SX SE-R (which has 140HP)...I know its not, but it just drives so smooth in comparison.

I did only drive the 3 for like 1 mile tho, that's just the first impression I got... I dunno if it'll be as fun to drive as the SE-R...

It funny how many of you bash C&D especially when they were one of the only magazines to give rave reviews about the protege, IN EVERY TEST THAT IT WAS IN. As for the Mazda 3, they didnt bash it at all, every person that drove it said that it was a awsome car but it was more refined and they liked the brute harshness of the Protege. They are completely correct. The protege had super crisp and responsive handling, the 3 is a little smoother. But after driving the 3 it is awsome. It may not have that tightly tuned suspension, but in return you still have more than adequate zoom-zoom and a very smooth and quite ride, something that the pro definately does not have. When I drove the 3 I swear I was in a bimmer. (slower, maybe a 318i) I cannot wait to get mine and I am interested to see what some other reviews say about it. ;)

One more note, Mazoku is right, it doesnt feel as fast because it is much quieter. In return, that accounts for more speeding tickets even when you swear that you were going slower. I love the smoothness of the engine and the ride. The Pro's engine sounds like its going to blow sometimes when it is cold out and it is being driven hard.

Like I mentioned before. I don't care what C&D says. They suck. They can say the 3 is the best damned car in the world and I still wouldn't give two s****.
