2007 MazdaSpeed 6
My poor Speed 6 is just sitting in my driveway cold and lonely waiting for someone to drive her.(sad1) This is the first car that I've been able to "store" for the winter. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to keep the miles and salt of it, but I miss driving her already. Wish I had a garage to keep her in so at least I could maybe mod a little to keep me occupied until the warm weather comes.

Does anyone else here store their Mazda for the winter?

Why store it? With snow tires this car is so much fun to drive in the winter. Thats what I love about this car is you can have fun with it in all seasons.

You guys are probably right. The Speed 6 would be a hell of a lot better in the snow than my current winter car (2002 Cougar). The reason I'm storing it is because I've seen what a few hard New England winters can do to a car and I want to keep it in the best condition possible. Not to mention I really can't afford a set of winter tires right now.

ha i used to have a 2002 cougar. that thing did ok but i slid around a lot in it during the winter months.

No kidding... where you on NECO? I know at least a few other Cougar owners that have bought Speed 6's or 3's. I've had my Cougar for about 6 years now and it's been a pretty good car. It does a lot better in the snow now that I bought a really good set of winter tires for it a couple seasons back.

Squish, this car really is awesome in the snow with winter tires. I'd love to be able to keep some miles off mine too, but then I realized that part of the reason I bought it in the first place was because I wanted an AWD car to drive in the winter. Ah well, maybe someday I'll just get a fast RWD car for the summer and keep my Speed6 for winter duty and still be able to rip around. :)

BTW, did you cover it or anything? If you aren't driving it at all, and want to keep it in great shape without a garage, it would probably be worth the investment to keep the sun/ice/birds/bugs off it.

my MS6 is allso stored in my garage and i missss it sooo much, but when i look at all the other cars, with all that salt white s*** on the side and all the caked on snow behind ur wheels. then i feel better about not driving her!!!!

You guys are nuts for storing a MS6 in the winter. This car is an absolute blast in the snow.
