Cannot use the front day lights

Hi everyone !
I have my 2021 CX5 GTR , and noticed that once I turn the day lights on , when I run over 2-3 mph, front lights are turning automatically on.So there is not an option to use my day light during the day.Which make me think that LED wll be gone sooner than normal since it is non stop runnung.Have anyone experienced this and what do you recommend me ?

Get over your fear. The LEDs aren’t going to burn out like a halogen bulb.

In my case, I drive my 2016 CX-5 GT less than a couple hours daily, probably less than that. Even if I were to do that 365 days per year, it would still amount to less than 7000 hours of usage. Which ought to mean the LEDs are likely to last another 6-7 decades' worth of similar usage.

Unless you're driving the car a dozen hours every day of the year, I wouldn't worry about it. It'll mean a swap-in of new LED light clusters (instead of merely a 'bulb' swap), sure, but unless something goes wrong then it's likely to be several decades down the road even for "heavy" drivers.

Here are the ridiculous instructions for disabling the 2013 Mazda CX-5 Daytime Running Lights. This is no longer done through the diagnostic computer.

Timing for the procedure is critical. If you miss a step, the procedure will fail and you will have to start over.

The tech at my dealership could not get the procedure to work. The service manager and I did get it to work, but it took several tries. I think the tech was pushing the hazard switch on and off 10 times, not 5 (he was pressing the button 20 times, not 10).

Try this.

That's for Gen1 cars. Poster has a 2021 Gen 2. There's no way to turn off the headlights while moving in a Gen2.
