Canadians: Price paid for your MSP?

Hey guys, I'm new here but I am not an owner.. I am aspiring to be one though. I know there was a thread on pricing already but it wasn't all the Canadians that put their prices down.

I am asking if you Canucks out there can help me out and give me the "low down" on how much you paid for your rides with taxes and interest rates..

I would also like to know how well the car handles in winter driving conditions?

Thanks for anything you can tell me..

Pricing on my 2002 ( in July '01) was msrp.
I've managed to negotiate a little better deal on my new '03, but the real price movement seems to be in the additional crap - alarms, coatings, etc...

As for winter: bring it on! City, highway, and back road. Just don't try it on the stock Dunlops. I've got a set of Toyo's that manage to grip everything I can get them into.

edit: OOPS... you said MSP. I'll read better next time.
both Ajax and Scarborough Mazda have one in their showroom, and neither seemed willing to budge on msrp

I paid $26995, after everything i think it was $31 something at 6.5 percent financing. As for winter driving you are definitely gonna need snow tires. I had to drive on the stock tires in an ice/snow storm and it was very scary.

I paid the same as spoolboy, with 5k down its going to cost about 550 per month for 5 years. If your thinking of driving it in the winter you have no choice you have to buy new tires because these tires are brutal in snow, your best off to buy different rims and tires to wear in winter, my car will be sitting in storage somewhere, I figure that will fix the problem :)

I paid less than MSRP.
Don't remeber the exact numbers now, but it was close to 26 including freight and PDE, plus taxes.

that's not a bad deal. I know when I was looking at the orange, it was 26995 + 950 for freight + taxes. Leasing at the time was 7.5% but this was back in Jan. Lease payment was 499+tax I think.
