Newb Question:
Can I paint my stock CHROME wheels black?
Will it look good, bad, crappy?
Let me know...

Oh and what type of rotors should I get to replace all four and should they be standar, slotted, drilled, etc. ?

Same with pads...

On a budget and I'm going to replace everything in a few weeks to get this baby screaming like a kitten spanked on the fourth of july....

correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they're polished. I painted mine with duplicolor wheel paint. there are tons of how-to's around. run a search...

yes, just a different process. IIRC polished wheels were an option on the p5. In short, yes it's possible to paint your stock wheels. DO IT!

I will! ....I really like the look of a chrome outline...so would I just tape off a lip on the outline of the wheel to do this, or just go ahead and paint all black?

hmmmm I would go all or nothing. but that's just me. if anything, you can try it out and if you don't like it just paint it all.

Paint them!

( The white looks great on the red car, btw )

thats a nice color dude
and you should def. black out ur headlights it would looks tight for sure.
and did u paint ur rear valence? u should it would look coool

btw is there a DIY for rim painting? on here?

i used the duplicolor high heat engine paint because i figured it would hold up longer and it does
i sanded down the chrome wheels until they looked like the regular polished ones when they were dry
then i used primer, the high heat paint and then clear coat

the wheels are prob. gonna look dull at first, just wait a week or so and wash them and put a little wax or polish on them, they'll shine and look alot better

The more coats of paint the better. Just let each coat dry evenly.
Then when you clear coat it (a few coats of it) it will look great.
