I'm looking to retrofit a CX-9 rear view mirror with the LCD to my Mazda 5. I dont think the camera part of the deal is worth the money ($280!) but I need the harness to interface the mirror for power and video. I believe that the standard 16 pin radio plug is the same as the 16 pin mirror plug but its very difficult to verify this without the mirror in my hands. I can buy the radio plug at any electronics store and make my own harness so can anyone verify this for me somehow? Thanks to anyone who can do this, you are helping tremendously.

What mirror do you have? There are some threads here that have the pinout for a CX-9 auto-dim mirror but I have not seen the display mirror.
I have the install instructions, so I have the pinout, but I need to find the connector to fit it without buying their camera for $300 to get the plug. I can get a camera for $30 and building the harness is simple if I get the end to plug into the mirror. I can find my way around it but I really wanted to do it OEM style
