Unground cam's are available from mazdamotorsports for the hardcore.

Remember that because of the keyless crank and timing chain...replacing the cam's in the 6i is a bit more extensive then other cars. Make sure to look over the service manual @

From what I can tell, those are all Duratec parts and won't work with the Mazda.

Well, the pictures of the heads they were showing didn't have VVT. That's the one that jumped out at me.
Since the heads (from what I've read) are completely different between VVT and non-VVT, I'd say it's a safe bet that the valves, springs and cams are probably different, too.

I could be wrong. Unless you try it or verify part numbers, there's no way to be accurate in a conjecture.

I'm not willing to be a guinea pig, though. (dunno)

He is quite aware of the VVT that we have and I'm sure if they are listed they will work. MarcyMotorsports is very capable of producing some very nice parts.
