I would like to see some pics of the MSP's with aftermarket Wheels. I am thinking of getting some new wheel come spring. I also think is would be a great sticky, and then we will have one place with a bunch or pics for reference.

Thanks in advance,
Boomergt

I like the rims but I think it makes the msp look like a wrx a little from the sides, kinda loses the originality of the msp.
Just depends on your priorities... Mine were 1. lightweight, 2. good offset choice(s), 3. no unused lug holes, 4. price, and 5. looks.

I like the more aggressive look. I also like the way the WRX looks from the side. So, thanks for the compliment! The pix don't do it justice. Plus, the handling is much improved. Only issue was that I had to roll the rear fenders... but that's mainly because of the bigger tires.

P.S. Thanks Boomer.

Hey...these are OZ superleggara-17inch with 215/45/17 nokian tires...+45 offset...H&R sport springs/H&R camber bolts...the rest of the suspension is stock.

Wheels are a very personal choice, proper fit is more important, some wheels just don't fit the speed...the real reason to change wheels is to lower the rotational mass/unsprung weight...the kosei's there look to have gotten it right.

Here's mine:

Kosei TS 17x7 (silver painted) w/ 42mm offset and Fuzion ZRi 225/45/17 tires. Each wheel was 6-7 lbs. lighter than stock RH's with the same wheels.

Those Kosei's are by far the best for auto-x but with a +42mm offset they would take the MSP out of Stock Class, a definate NO for me.

If anyone's looking for a set here is an e-bay deal

What's the offset of our stock wheels?
Anybody care to quickly explain what the offset actually is?

I was about to create a post like this myself.... I was curious to see Titanium MSP's with wheels. I can't seem to find any wheels I think will look good on one of these cars...

Stock offset is 55mm. More general info on offset here: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/offset.htm
Stock tire size is 215/45/17

I used 225/45/17 and had rubbing on the insides with the Racing Hart's. I put 5mm spacers between the wheel and hub, effectively changing my offset to 50mm. That still rubbed a little on the inside. 45mm would have been my first choice. However, The Kosei's had 42 or 50... and the best weight to cost advantage.

With the 42mm offset, there is NO rubbing on the front but definite rubbing in the rear on the fender lip. So, I had the rear lips rolled which fixed the issue.

Damaga, thay are 18lbs. Not to bad for the price. They are supposed to pretty damn strong too. Alot of the guys over on the evo forum are running them.

Not really an MSP but damn close...

they are 18" and maybe a little on the heavy side, i don't think they are made anymore, but im sure there are similiar rims out there. In a dark color like graphite or gunmetal they would look good too...

Should be, I think Rishies fitment guide says it should be cool. If someone knows diffrently, please tell em now !! lol.
