Called Mazda corporate reporting issues...

:
'14.5 CX-5 Touring AWD, Soul Red | '14 CX-5 Touring AWD White
Here is what I got:

Called Mazda Corporate to report mirror vibrate issues and dashboard rattle over bumps. I did it because the dealer said that mirror vibrations are due to add-on mirror attached to it (bulls***).
The dealer also said that dashboard rattle fix was attempted but it did not fully solve the problem and I would need to wait for TSB from Mazda to further address this issue.

So, the corporate calls me and explains:

"We talked to the dealer and your mirror shakes because of add-on mirror you have attached."
I said: "they did not even test drive the car, and it had shaken before"
Corporate: " The dealer could not reproduce the issue, because the speed limit there does not allow to drive at 50MPH"
I said" what can I do about it?"
Corporate: "Nothing to do here."

Well, let's go to the rattle problem.

I said "rattle repair was attempted, but problem still exists. I informed the dealer about it yesterday when I was there"
Corporate " I talked to them and there is no problem you reported"

(wow)

The worst episode ever.

Intermittent problems, a typical story at many dealerships, many brands. Hope the TSB(s) come out soon.

gova, you seem like being to nice to them.

Having Mazda fleet in our company, I tend to be quite arrogant with my Mazda dealer. I have no problems going there (they know me quite well) and start shouting from the door (the more people inside saloon the louder I am :)). That's the only way to deal with dealers... if you're too nice, they just push you away...

Cheers,
Miki

Yes, I've heard about this method. I am not ready for this yet...

I've own 2007 Honda Odyssey, and I must tell you that every issue I've had with the car, small or big, has been dealt wonderfully by the dealer. If current CR-V weren't this ugly, I'd have gone with it instead.

In any case, I'll see if any TSBs will show up and go back. Overall, I like my CX-5 very much.

This is what my dealership did to rid my cx-5 of its "creak" sound:
-checked dash locating pins as required, all OK and tight. Found loose bolt on right side of dash behind the glove box, tightened and no change in noise
-checked RF engine side mount, found 2 bolts loose
-torqued all RF mount bolts to spec as required
-road tested and noise gone
-checked and TSB updated with creaking noise from A-pillar
-removed RF fender liner and adjusted RF inner fender body panels as required
-road tested and verified repair, noise gone
-found noise in steering wheel - trim on wheel needed to be reseated

Gova...I posted this in a different topic...hope it helps.
I also had a vibration coming from the dash when driving on rough roads. I brought it to the dealer and they checked the TSB and my CX-5 was built after the modification had been done...so that was ruled out. The tech figured out it was coming from the steering column...I would of never guessed the noise was coming from there rather from the drivers side dash area. Here was their notes:

-diagnosis and road tested
-verify noise
-found noise from steering column
-added noise reduction tape and re road tested...ok

I drove it yesterday after the work had been done with radio off and I went on rough roads with NO vibration noise. The dealer was very helpful and said, if I have any noise or vibration at all to please come back and they would make sure it was fixed. Hopefully mine is all fixed and now I'm loving my CX-5 even more.

I don't know what the tape is either but I think they did the same thing with mine as the last bullet point on the service sheet said "found noise in steering wheel - trim on wheel needed to be reseated "

Sounds like your Mazda dealer is the major blame. Id go to your next closest Mazda dealership, and hope they have more of a clue of what there doing.
