Caliper Cover Squeak

Anyone install MGP caliper covers and experience a squeak? Put these on yesterday and the whole process was extremely easy until I got to the last cover (left rear). The top nut would just not sit right and I couldn’t get clearance with the paper tester they supplied. I tried 20 different ways and it just would not work. I’ve heard some people grind some of the metal down to stop the squeak sound.

Anyone have any suggestions?
