Calibrating Boost Guage??

hey everyone, just got to installing a glow shift boost guage yesterday and before instaling, i noticed that it was already reading 5psi of boost? wen we installed it, it tells me that i am pushin 15psi of boost when in WOT!! this cant be true! does anybody know if these guages can be calibrated? thanks for all the help

Yea I googled a how to on the SRT-4 forums and it looked pretty simple, but at the end they said it went back to the way it was after a week or 2. Maybe there are ways that make it stick, but I can tell you boost gauges are a total b****.

I have an Autometer installed right now and I dropped it trying to get it out of the packaging...so it's off by about +1 psi. I just got a Prosport in the mail to replace it because of that and also because it has better features. Opened it up and saw it was at 0 vac. Took everything out of the package (did not shake it or drop it) and after repackaging it until I am ready for install I noticed the gauge was reading between 0 vac and +1 psi...FML.

unless it's an electric boost gauge you can't calibrate it, you have to try and mess around with the inside to try and get it back. I was able to do it with my old autometer one, but the glowshift one I have doesn't look like it can be done.

correct, i recalibrated my autometer using a paper clip and a steady hand.

So the new Prosport gauge I got is electric, but it's not digital. Should it still be able to recalibrate?

edit: I don't know why I was thinking a digital would need to be recalibrated so ignore that question. Though I'll leave the link up because this is a pretty nice gauge.

it suppose to calibrate itself each start. prob a bend hose for your miss reading. installed a ton of this model. never have problem
