2014 Mazda 6 Sport - Soul Red Mica
Bye Mazda 2 friends...yesterday I brought home a 2014 Mazda 6 Sport in Soul Red Mica...so I am moving over to the Mazda 6 forum...but I will miss your insights and camaraderie. (hi)

Good choice! When I was at Corksport earlier this week a local dealer happened to stop by with the exact same color you bought. It was a base model, and even at that trim level that car is SERIOUSLY nice. I was pretty blown away. And it looks amazing even in the base trim and wheels. Killer seats too! Have a great time with it and post us a link when you've put photos up, etc....

Thanks to both of you. This is a "base" model...there is a Touring model...and they had a loaded Grand Touring model on the lot as well. When I looked at the Sport it had everything I would ever use...the additional bells and whistles just don't excite me so much in my old age any more.

We were amazed at the value for the money...but that is a Mazda attribute IMHO. My Touring 2...a 2011...was $17230 when I bought it...the 100% Skyactiv 6...was only $23590...at the sport level...AT and extra cost Soul Red Mica paint were the only options....even with the 3 model year difference...only $6360 more than my Touring 2...we just couldn't imagine that....nor it appears...resist it.(boom05)

I will refrain from more 6 talk on the 2 board...lest I get seriously flamed. (smash)

The new 6 is awesome. I sat in one at the dealer the other day and it's hitting above its class in so many ways. Great interior, great looks, and drives like a Mazda. I really want to get the diesel when it comes out. (I'd keep the 2 as a track/canyon car BTW.)

I wouldn't mind hearing more ^_^

Sure Inspekt...but we had better have you pose your questions over on the 2014 6 section of the forum...happy to repond to any queries you have....though I am no authority.

The 6 is a great car, I hope you enjoy it.

I don't see myself needing to part with my 2 any time soon, but if I eventually do need to size up, I will definitely go with the new 6. It's amazing how well equipped even the base model is. I personally don't think there's anything really all that special in the upper class models, so you might as well save the money.

I really hope the 6 Wagon makes it over here. I would buy one in an instant.

Those new 6s are very nice. When I stopped by my local dealer to pick up some parts, the first truck of their 2014 Mazda 6s was just coming in.
