by by all my by by to the ms3

bro, look at your list and you talking aboout going for the Evo. the 370 and Evo are two peas in the same pod. just take away two seats, two doors and the trunk space from the EVO waalaa

look at howyou ranked everything. the Z wins

if im looking for a roadster that performs, im not looking at the EVO. if im looking for a AWD sedan, im not looking at the Z

I don't think so, care to explain?

True, buts it's also silly to even compare the cars since the driver will determine the end result regardless due to how close they are stock (within a couple tenths). Also, some mags have the Cobalt faster and some have the MS3 faster. It just depends on who you chose to believe. Some also like to debate The RING time between the two and I can fully understand that argument considering the circumstance but it doesnt really matter. What matters is that your happy with what you got

i totally agree. im pretty sure that if my grandmother was driving the viper acr and i was driving a 91 crx i could probably beat her 0-60, 1/4 mile, skidpad, nurburgring, whatever....and im pretty sure that no one here is mario andretti so until then i'll just go by what reputable magazines says before some forum member tries to justify their fanboyism

NEVER seen a stable 240 swap. They are a pain in the ass to upkeep, heh. I would know, I had one :P

I've known two people with turbo SR20s (one boosted his sentra, the other japanese imported) and one with a RB26. The two j-spec guys had tons of ongoing issues, especially with fueling and boost. The guy who boosted his sentra has next to no problems until his ebay wastegate locked shut and he blew his head ;)

But if you wanna do that, go for it!! Be smart and do it right and hopefully you won't have any problems

1. the Z nor the Evo i would consider "comfortable"
2. Ergonomics goes to the Z
3. if you are looking for a roadster, you dont care about trunk space
3. "Features/ Amenities" nissan usually comes with the bells and whistles
4. the fit and finish of the 370z s**** on the Evo's
5. "Interior/ Exterior styling" easily goes to the Z. the evo's int. looks bland, dull and has too much open space. while the Z now has Infiniti int.

the only thing attractive about the EVO is the GT-R-ish front end and angry look of the tail lights. the cabin looks like a bubble. IMO

6. Engine Flexibility - well someone that cares to keep their warranty will not do anything major to the motor. once warranty is up. I rather have a big V6 with two snails

7. rev matching is offered on the Z. Z wins

8. Steering feel. cant say

9. braking. from 60 112ft for the EVO and 101 for the Z. Z wins

10. EVO pulled .99(awd) skid pad. 370Z .97(rwd)

11. overall ride - cant say. depends on what you want and like

12. Id be happier and faster in the Z...

if your list is actaully in order of inportant to least important. then i personally wouldnt be choosing between the Z or EVO

The stats that everyone is talking about are stock and can vary by driver. That arguement, I am not getting into.

If/when the cars are not stock, it would be nice to have a big boosted 350z, but its also hella expensive. Other bolt ons that would give the evo nice power gains will not give nearly as much on a n/a car. I've done extensive modding to boosted and n/a cars and there is NO COMPARISON.

But **** me and everyone else. It sounds like you want the Z, so I suggest you get the Z.

well facts aside it's really a person's preference as to which car they would rather have. i wouldn't want a Z because 2 seaters aren't practical for me right now. i also wouldn't want the new evo or the new sti because they are rediculously priced regardless of performance

so silly

You are right the Evo and the STI are very expensive but you can't really say performance aside with these cars. They are built for one reason :). The new interiors are actually not bad. Not to mention the Evo's are the fastest all around car you can get for under 50 grand.

As for the 350z's. I am obviosly bias and I hate them but ive only driven one once. The newer ones are slightly faster but the older ones are MS3/6 bait.
Impractical, small storage space, cheap interior, 2 seats, not as fast as it should be, too heavy for a coupe, mediocre handling for rwd coupe, incredibly boring sounding N/A V6. I see more girls driving them than guys. I think they look cool but I just dont know understand why people think they offer more than the speeds.

fail on multiple levels

If I fail on multiple levels at least explain why??

Faster all around car (stock) than an evo for under 50 grand . . . please let me know.

faster in terms of what?

watch that you will see some stock 370's running high 12's. they already run low 13.s

evox's are mid 13's and has a trap of 2 to 3 miles slower than the Z.

skip pad on the Z was .97g.

with a competent driver in both the Z will be right on par with a Evo in the twisties

ill tak the Z

When the car comes out and people start posting videos we shall see. I havent seen many evo X videos but the driver must be on crack to run a mid 13 in an evo. I ran a 13.6 in my speed 6 with nothing but my CAI. I think the 370Z will be fast in straight lines but in the twisties . . . I dont think it can match the evo's AWD / lightweight handling.

and people have gotten as low as 13.8 in the ms3 stock.

my best is 14.4 and thats with about 9 runs total under my belt.

my boy got in for the first time and ran 14.1

but i said "competent driver" at best i see 13.4 maybe 13.3 and thats a maybe.

370 is posting 13.3 and has a trap 2 to 3 mphs higher than the evo.

z is faster

The 370z seems like a huge step up from the 350. When I made my initial comment about a car faster than an evo I meant a car available now . . .

Im not sure where your getting your numbers but we will just have to wait and see what numbers "normal" people get driving these things. Can't really jump to conclusions on #'s until you see them driven by the masses /:. Ive only been to the track once but my best time actually had the lowest trap. Ran 13.6 at 97mph then I ran a 14.2 at 100.

Motortrend achieved 4.7 to 60 and 13.3 in the 1/4 with the 370Z.
Yep, whuch means those numbers are conservative. I'm calling 12.9 for the z.

Coyfish,
Is 370 is avail. Now. The 370 is faster than the evo

When I ran 14.4 and 14.5 my traps were 100 as well. My boy ran 14.1 at 99.

I've always been able to get an average of .2 seconds lower times than the car magazine achieve.

I believe our cars could do 13.4 in the 1/4 if they were RWD.
