Bwiggs STF Build

Me I'm betting on my CS springs and getting their dampers also for my track days. But I'm sure I'll have to spend my money on a set of coil-overs in the future but I can't wait to see the 2 with a good damper...

well guys, been a while since i posted. here's a quick update.

Last year was an amazing autox season. It was my first time ever on proper street tires.
Had many top 5 pax results, but in November I finally took home 1st PAX! in front of 5 pro drivers. Ended up 1st in STF for the year, 2nd PAX overall, and was awarded 2013 SCCA North Carolina Region Solo Driver of the Year!
I had a co-driver all season and she took first in Ladies class as well.

Past month I have installed RB rear bar and Corksport SRI and they have made a huge difference! Body roll has been greatly reduced in the front and rear, and the car rotates nicely.

This past Sunday was an NCR autocross at Cherry Point, where we have a huge runway with great surface. 2 of our guys went to Dixie tour recently and they decided to recreate the sunday course. They made it pretty much exact, so it was great knowing I was running a national course. Still waiting on final results due to timing issues. but am fairly sure if times were correct top 10 pax out of 120, which I am happy with considering new pax index.
Our club is also starting a new grouping of classes. We are running Street, Street touring, Street Prepared, Modiefied, Etc all as pax classes. This will hopefully promote competition between more cars vs having so many classes with 1-3 entries.

Been very happy with my mazda 2! it is a blast, and great to daily, lots of room for wheels/autox weekend stuff, gets 40+ mpg, and is very competitive. What more could you ask for?

Race coming up Saturday in Charlotte Nc at another huge great site with some very fast drivers. (2013 STF nationals champ, plus lots of other national drivers) So i'm excited to see how I do! My Dunlop z2's have about had it after a full year with codriver ,and I will be ordering another set after that event. I've very much enjoyed them and think they are a great match for the temperatures and surfaces I race on.

Thanks everyone for great feedback on car setup etc, it has helped me very much.

Was wondering where you went...Glad to hear of your success last year. What struts did you end up with?

I've been running the corksport struts/springs. They have been working well, both as daily and autox. With the addition of the rear bar, I see no need to go to coilovers at the moment.

Nice work! Glad to see 2s with just springs/shocks are doing really well between the cones. I've made up my mind that I'll be purchasing a 2 later this Spring/early Summer and the Corksport kit is the first on my list to buy.

This is very good to hear. The CS struts/springs are next on my list to buy.
