Burning through oil

I have been checking my fuilds weekly and the past 3 weeks or so everytime i check my oil the tank seems to be low again. Every week I have had to put in about a quart of oil back into the tank and i JUST hit my 3k mile mark since my last oil change. I have not seen any signs of leaks but i will be paying closer attention to it( putting something underneath the car while it sits every night) and see if it is a leak. If not then im not sure what the issue may be, got to get it looked at and do some research, if anyone has any good ideas to offer up itll be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Who changed your oil? Sounds like the oil filter cap is cracked...

I take It to merchants to get it done, never done it myself after watching him go back and forth for 2 hours bc autozone kept giving him the wrong size filter for his car while swearing it was the right one lol...but I hope that's the issue, put a cardboard box underneath to see if it was leaking and ill have an oil change on Tuesday, hopefully thatll solve the Issue

Are you burning oil, or blowing smoke out the back?

It's possible that oil might get caught in the plastic pieces on the engine bottom when parked, and then drip off while driving, so you might not see much in the morning unless you remove all that. Look around in the engine bay and around the bottom of the car for any places you can see oil.

Got the oil changed, ill have to keep my eye on it, I put my car up on ramps Aftetwards and I noticed a fluid on the ground afterwards, got to put it back up and check tomorrow

sometimes the crush washers on the oil pan plug can warp and cause a leak as well..

ok thanks, that is something else i can look into, i will have to get the thing up on my ramps tomorrow to take a look at it (even though i am not all that familiar with it) but i can get an idea of what is going on
