Burning oil

2010 mazda 3 hatch 2.5 auto is burning a quart of oil in between changes. First noticed it while using 5-20 so I put 5-30 in it with the same results. Car only has 39k and isn't beat on by any means. Is there a reason for this? Would going to synthetic help? I didn't over pay for a "certified" pre owned car to deal with this

Between the dealer straight up lieng to my face about the warranty and Mazda USA and the bad overall quality I'm seriously looking at trading it in and going to a dealer that will back it's warranty rather than tell me it's not their problem

At this point it burns more oil than my celica with 300k miles and my track car

when I bought my 05 3 with about 48k on it I had a valve seal let go and I was burning about a quart a week!!...urs might be starting to let go

It doesn't smoke at all or smell like it. It does have a lot of valve train noise though but dealer claims they can't hear it
