Burning oil when start my car

Hey everyone I am currently blowing blue smoke when I start my car. The thing is that it does not happen all the time usually when my car sits for a few hours. Does anyone know what it could be? Possibly turbo seals?

Possibly turbo seals, or valve seals. Hopefully its not the ring seals. My car did the same thing and found out the valve seals in piston #2 were bad.

you sure it only burns when you start my car burns oil all the time might have to switch from synthetic to normal

you know i get this too. seems to be when it sits for a lil while. then when i drive it bring it up to temp i get into boost in 1st and can see a poof of smoke which i believe is bluish blackish. hoping it is turbo seals and not rings. i wonder if a compression check for each cylinder will tell you if the valve seals are bad. Maybe not because if you get a low reading it would be a few things like rings or valve seals or something.

Yes I currently use a synthetic blend wo this may be the reason why, but I will do a compression test this weekend to find out more regarding the seals.

Thanks for your help everyone.

I was in the process of doing my compression check (car was at operating temp) pulled the plugs and smoke was coming out of the second plug. Took a flashlight to look at the piston and it was bone dry. I have the exact same symptoms as you.

i just put in regular 530 and my car burns allot less oil im almost at 200,000k though
