Bump Stop Question

:
03 Protege 5
Hello there everyone, I have read several topics on cutting bumpstops/the importance of bumpstops on a lowered p5.

I have my tokico blues and springs, and I also have new strut mounts. I was originally going to use the old bumpstops/strut boots, but being that the car is 10 years old, I figured I should just change those out too.
I have read that the MSP bump stops are a better option, and I found the MOOG Part # K90462 on rock auto, which supposedly is what the mazdaspeed protege uses. Would it be ok to purchase that bellow/bump stop kit, or can anyone recommend me getting the normal p5 kit and just cutting them an inch or so? I'd like to just get it right the first time so I don't have to take the suspension apart once it is in.

Thanks!

I say just get the MSP ones and be done with it.

I notice those seem to be the best. Would it be okay to use those with the original strut boots? That was my only reason for considering the moogs, new strut boots. Perhaps I will just take apart my old struts, being that one is blown anyway, and just the strut boots from them.

New boots if you plan to use them in the winter, No Boots is fine if you can periodically spray a pressure washer up and in.

New boots and msp bumpers it is.

Mainly I was confused at "MSP" bumpers, I didn't know if that meant strictly using the OEM ones, or whatever other brand (moog, monroe, etc)

I'll order them from racing beat tonight.

Thanks guys

Is there a special strut boot that you recommend more than another one? What would be considered a "good" price for all 4 corners?

The bump stop in the link above looks like the ones that came in the P5 struts. I thought the MSP ones were shorter and had maybe only 2 levels rather than 3 like in the pic in that link. I thought mine had 3 and cut 1 level out of the P5 ones but that has been like 8 years. Also thought the MSP ones were blue or some different color too. Might just be case of me not eating enuff fish tho............
