Build a turbo kit?

Well my friend is selling his Garrett T25 turbo off his mazdaspeed and I wanted to ask you if I could buy additional parts to boost my protege 5 such as intercooler, piping, and anything else needed to go turbo!?!?! OR would it be cheaper to buy the complete kit like HiBoost?? Thanks for the help.....

it will be less of a headache to buy a complet kit. If you could get his manifold and turbo it might be worth it, assuming the prices are cheap, and you know someone who can fabricat the piping for you.

Also, if you are power hungry the T25 probally wont cut it.

cheaper as a complete kit, proly. you could piece everything together yourself but it will be time consuming and aot of headaches, the hardest part to fabricate is the mani, you can get spool, hiboost, wagner to make you a mani with t25 flange...i did a custom setup, took me about a week to get everything done by myself, but in the end it came out cheaper than a complete kit...
