Broken Key

I searched and couldnt find a topic on this issue, but somehow one of my prox. keys got a crack in its casing and no longer works. The key inside is still in tact. That being said what is the cheapest way to replace this second key?
Ive never broken a transmitter before, pretty frustrated at this point because Im not sure what happened. Regardless, any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have a thread here somewhere about how Wal*Mart mangled my key. Luckily they paid for it because it cost somewhere around $140 from the dealer, including reprogramming the new key blank.

Take the case apart and make sure the battery is in contact.
