Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports

2024 CX-5 Turbo Premium
Finally replaced the OEM Toyos. The Toyos still had a lot of life left (~50%) but were getting too loud. Picked up some Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports. Hopefully the almost 4 million miles of reviews on tire rack are correct.

Selection criteria was...
Summer tire (it's always summer here in Hawaii)
Quiet
Previous experience with the brand
Price

So far, the RE760s are extremely quiet and the steering response feel quicker. It has some rim protection and the ride seems a little better.

Alignment setup is... (Car is stock height and Camber/Caster is not adjustable.)
Front
Total toe -0.04 (-0.02/side)
Rear
Total toe 0.10 (0.05/side)

Looks good, Bridgestone is a good brand. Rivals the Michelins, but they are too expensive as an OEM alternative. Tread pattern look similar to the OEM Dunlop tires on my Speed3. Most likely not good for winters here in the North East. Good luck with them, and let us know from time to time how they wear.

My 2012 3 came with the Bridgestone Turanza's. I wonder why they put crappy toyo's on the 5's, why not just go with the Bridgestones on the 5's as well.

Odd that the 5 up here comes with the Turanzas and they used Toyos in the US.(dunno)

Mine came with turanzas also. Good tires, still at about 7/32 with 35k on them. My wheels for next summer will get those re760s, had them on my e39 touring.

My valve stem broke the other day and it cost me 65$ to replace it because it has the tire pressure sensor on it. I've heard it was more common for the stem to break off at the threads with the newer stem/sensor combo, but I never have had it happen to me, until two days ago. I have also read mix reviews about the turanzas.

My mother-in-law and I bought both of our 5's within one month at the same dealership. Her's had Turanzas, mine had Toyos. Looks like they can come with either up here.
