There is an anti squeal pad behind each pad to help prevent noise. I have 29k miles and no noise and I did a complete teardown, clean, and relubing of the brake system a few thousand miles ago. My Mazda5 sometimes makes a slight squeak in the morning before they heat up.
Brakes squeaking at 8500 miles.
