Brakes for Dummies

Hey now i thought i would throw this thread out there as for ppl who dont know whats technically wrong with their brakes....(include me into the group)

If anyone else have any type of problems with brakes, pls do share...

Now i changed my brakes about 2-3 months ago.. (That were the pads as well as the rotars).... as well i filled up my brake fluid (this was done about a month ago) All of sudden my brake fluid is empty, whenever i come to an abrupt stop... The car feels like a plane.. it gives me this hollow sound... sometimes i can feel the pressure of the brake peddals... now i am no mechanic but i do like to work on the car.. i put on my rotars and pads.. so i just want to know what type of problems arise with the brakes... so this way if any of you guys have a list (maybe i could link it to my car and hopefully fix it..)

You need to flush all of the old fluid out by bleeding it through. Start at the furthest from the res(rear of vehicle) and work your way to the front.

Even if you refilled it doesn't mean that you bled the system.

If it is empty then you have bigger issues.

Are the inside of your rims wet? You maybe leaking fluid from one of your calipers. Are the bleed nozzles tight?
