BOV of choice for guys running the stock nipple for the BOV

true, you'll defintily want to get aftermarket charge pipes if you want to run a BOV. if you can find a BOV elbow that could be another option but I have no idea where to find one that would fit the msp. the previous owner had one on my car and it was a pretty interesting setup haha.

wish i had pics to show how the guy had my BOV setup, he had the stock plastic piping so it was messed from there lol, but then he took some flanges, garden hose and a greddy type RS. then added some jb weld to the mix and ban jb welded BOV to platic piping looked horrible and leaked everywhere lol.

i have the turbolife FMIC (well its in production now but i will have it) and i was just going to get the turboXS and mount it on the hotpipe. i was going to plug the nipple and weld the flange onto the hotpipe. think that will work?

i guess it could, y the hotpipe though? just make sure its before you MAF

well if i mount it on the hotpipe then i dont need to worry about spacing from the MAF. it just seems it would be easier cuz then i can basically put the BOV anywhere on the hotpipe and the MAF anywhere on the coldpipe (leaving enough space from the TB ofcourse) correct? my logic could be way off lol just seems like it would make sense.

i just havent seen anyone with there BOV on the hotpipe thats all, my maf is going to be next to my battery pretty much then befor that will be the BOV, justin was able to cut of the nibble and use the location of the nipple to have his BOV mount there. If that makes any sense haha.

The forge bov is amazing. Great quality, fine craftsmanship, great value. By the way I have one for sale, please see my sig.

ya that makes sense cuz i guess it would be a bit cleaner looking then cuz there nipple would be gone. and i just thought about it but if i mount the BOV on the hotpipe then wouldnt that be a bit better cuz then it will be expelling hot air? instead of expelling cold air from the cold pipe? probably wont make a difference but i just thought about that lol.

also with a coldpipe settup would it go TB--------BOV---------MAF ? and what kind of spacing do u need so that ur MAF is not affecting but the fluctuating air that the BOV causes?

It's so amazing.. then how come people have had problems with it and you're selling yours? (boom07)

On another note, the HKS vs. the RFL.. geez, no comparison. I always described the HKS as a "mouse fart" :D I like the "whip" sound from the RFL, you're definitely noticed and it sounds more "competitive" than the HKS. It's a good way of reflecting what you have under your hood if so desired.

It would go TB-----MAF-----BOV.. or just solve the problem and put the BOV on the hot side. At least 8-12 inches for the MAF to be away from the TB, then I think about 6 inches from the MAF to to the BOV.

I will be running as of tuesday the Boostsciences reflex diverter valve off the hotpipe. only modification is putting 1" fitting on hotpipe and air intake pipe. has a good sound and doesnt require you to cut up coldpipe to relocate maf

for the coldpipe you want this

TB--------MAF---------BOV

you want about 12" in between your TB and your MAF, but no to sure how far you want your MAF and BOV to be, not sure if it really matters.

lol ya the HKS is horrible, I dont get y so many dam ppl have them. Probally the same reason i have mine that thats cause it was cheap and easy to hook up with out getting any welding done, but i def. cant wait to get rid of the dam HKS.

ya thats why i was just planning on putting the BOV on the hotpipe to avoid spacing issues.

have you heard the clips of the Boostsciences rdv? it recircs air but eliminates turkey
