Bought broken Mazda 3...Check this out.

Ok so I have had my 2010 Mazda 3 2.5 S last week. Got it with 31,000 miles. That night I turned on my headlight and they dim whenever i turn the wheel, is this normal??? And my brights did not work, I take it to WantaghMazda (long island ny) and the mechanic said the fuse box was tampered with, his words exactly were "fuses are misplaced and some are even missing". Well they fixed my brights, but my headlamps still dim when i turn the wheel, which the mechanic knew about and did not fix. My real question is if these jerks did not even check my fuse box when I bought the car, should it be their right to re-do everything infront of me to make sure?? I also put a spare tire on and dont believe that the TPMS lit up, should have it?? and since it did not, is my fuse box still messed up?? O and this was my fuse box in the engine bay.

PS: I am pretty sure they did not check anything because the inside of the car still had dirt in it...which of course I did not notice until after I got home with the car....my luck.

Does it have the package where the headlights turn when the steering wheel is turned? That's the only way I could figure the headlights would dim like they do.

How much do they dim? My 09 does it, but i believe it has something to do with the electric power steering. I'm sure it's normal.

my old protege used to do that too.

im guessing you are turning while stopped, which puts a lot of strain on the power steering, which will cause quite a power draw and make the lights dim.

The car is probably equipped with Adaptive Headlights..

Google It.
