Bose Sound Problem

Hey Guys, well this is my first post and my first main issue with my car which I would like to sort out if you can help.

I searched the forum and it alsmot seems like I'm the only person that has this issue.

Issue: Bose System - When I play the system on CD after sometime the left channel gives out. The right channel is still working.

If I switch to radio the left channle comes back on, but then I try CD again : no left channel.

If I leave it for sometime then I will get the left channel back. Now if it was an amp problem I would have thought it would make no difference what sound selection was chosen.

Car: 04 Mazda6

Thanks

Wow are you guys serious, not one person can help me. I'm sure there is someone out there that can help me. Help Help Help.

I had a similar issue with my '03 Protege. It was intermittent and would only apply to the CD, no other input. It turned out to be a bad CD player module in the stereo, and was replaced under warranty.

If you take it to the dealer, they should be able to diagnose it and replace it fairly quick, otherwise, look at a junkyard or in the FS sections here and see if you can find someone selling the head unit for a 6 with the Bose system. If you can get the CD player, it will be universal.

I agree. The fact that both channels work on AM/FM negates any possible amplifier issue. Check the 6 marketplace forum for a Bose that's for sale.

And as a word of advice: Patience, grasshopper. Don't go crying the next morning because no one has yet replied.
